Access control systems allow you to control doors, elevators, parking lots, and garage access in addition to allowing you to monitor building time and attendance.

Global Security Services, Ltd. has a wide selection of access control hardware and software packages to suit every budget. Our products provide you with the ability to totally control access to specific areas, whether by access privilege, seniority, time of day, as well the ability to set specific conditions that apply for individual users or groups of users. It also has various reports to monitor time and attendance, access frequency, and more.

EXAMPLES OF ACCESS CONTROL IN USE

Access control systems is the only technology that proactively attempts to keep unauthorized individuals out of a building or areas within a facility, and is a perfect complement to video surveillance, burglar and fire alarm systems in a comprehensive security solution proposal.

  • Access control can allow office employees to enter the lobby door Monday through Friday from 7:45 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. excluding holidays.
  • Allow factory staff to enter via one of two employee entrances only +/- 1 hour of their scheduled shift.
  • Other uses include setting the lobby entrance to automatically unlock from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. allowing visitors to enter the reception area without delay. Should an employee arrive late First Person In feature keeps the doors locked until a specific user or an authorized employee arrives first to begin their day. Once the specific user or authorized user swipes their card the system can switch to lobby hours mentioned above.

REPLACING KEYS

Managing keys is a nightmare for most businesses. Some facilities use dozens of keys, making them cumbersome to carry and a liability while the key holder standing at the entrance wading through keys for the right one. High employee turnover and multiple locations only compound the problem. In addition, keys are easily lost or duplicated, and terminated employees often do not return keys.  If however, an employee leaves the company without returning their access card, you can easily delete the employee's access card, thus eliminating the problem of traditional key management.  On a networked system, access can even be changed remotely just as easily as being at your office. In many cases, the annual cost of re-keying a facility alone will justify the return on investment (ROI) of an access control system.

VISUAL VERIFICATION

Access systems are often designed so that visitors, temporary employees, contractors and regular full time employees wear different color ID badges. Additionally, ID badging systems frequently use an employee photo with their access control card, thus, allowing building occupants to clearly identify the card user as the person to whom it was issued.
